Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Arachnest is working toward conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the widely used standard for making web content usable by people with a broad range of disabilities. This is a commitment and an in-progress goal during alpha, not a claim of full conformance today, see Known limitations below for where the gaps currently are.
Scope
This statement covers three separate things Arachnest ships, each at a different point of maturity:
- The marketing and auth site (this site, the pages you are reading now, plus sign-up, sign-in, and password reset).
- The core web app (the graph explorer, timeline, and account settings you reach after signing in).
- The browser extension (the capture/inject popup and its on-page prompts).
Known limitations
Honest, working list from an automated scan (axe-core) of the sign-up, sign-in, password pages, and the core app's main screen and Members panel, updated as issues are found and fixed, not a one-time result. An automated scan cannot catch everything a real screen reader or keyboard-only pass would; this list will grow as more thorough testing happens.
- Some text and interface elements do not yet meet the minimum color contrast ratio.
- A few in-paragraph links on the sign-up/sign-in pages rely on color alone to stand out from the surrounding text.
- Some page content in the core app is not yet organized into proper landmark regions for assistive technology.
Fixed since the last scan: the two dropdown fields in the Members panel now have proper accessible labels.
Reporting an issue
If you use assistive technology and run into a barrier anywhere in Arachnest, we want to know. Reports can be sent to the address published wherever you received your invitation or account. A dedicated accessibility contact address will be added here before general availability.
