Terms and Conditions
These terms cover your use of Arachnest, referred to below as "the service". By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What the service is
Arachnest is alpha software. It is provided as is, may change or break without notice, and may be taken offline. Do not rely on it as the only record of anything you cannot afford to lose.
2. Accounts
- One account is for one person. Keep your password and API keys secret.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Provide an email address you control, so password resets and account notices reach you.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break, probe, or work around the service's access controls or project isolation.
- Upload content you do not have the right to store or share.
- Use the service to store unlawful content or to harass or harm others.
- Automate use in a way that overloads the service or its shared third-party quota, or that is designed to extract other users' data.
- Resell or sublicense access to the service.
4. Your content
You keep all rights you already hold in the conversations, documents, and facts you capture. You grant Arachnest the permission it needs to store, process, and display that content back to you and to the project members you share it with, for the purpose of running the service.
Capturing a conversation from a third-party product is your responsibility. You confirm you have the right to copy that content into the service, and that doing so does not breach that product's own terms.
5. Third-party services
Turning captured conversations into structured facts sends that text to a third-party language model provider for processing. Capturing from or injecting context into products such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini is also governed by those products' own terms, which are between you and them.
6. Availability and data
- There is no uptime commitment during alpha.
- We may reset, migrate, or delete data as part of development. We will try to warn you first.
- Export or back up anything important on your own schedule.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using the service and request account deletion at any time. We can suspend or end your access at any time, in particular for a breach of these terms. Being removed from a project ends your access to that project going forward but does not delete the contributions you already made.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. Arachnest is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, arising from your use of alpha software. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes
These terms may change as the service develops. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new version.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to the address published wherever you received your invitation or account. A dedicated contact address will be added here before general availability.
